Credit Card Payment Calculator Excel ~~Financial Matters of Life ~~
Over the past two weeks I have helped some companies to improve their QuickBooks QuickBooks Pro 2009. Both had been using for the most basic of tasks (conciliation bank accounts), but not for the many features available to them. I spent half an hour going over some of the features available, and how it could really benefit your business.
This weekend I realized that QuickBooks 2010 is available (in Canada) and I went through the process of updating my copy from 2009 to 2010. If you are currently using QuickBooks (any version) or if you are not using any financial software business, here are some reasons you should consider getting QuickBooks 2010.
- Company Home Page – It is easy to find tasks that need the most out of QuickBooks Home page. This page is organized in the same way that money flows into your business, and there is even arrows illustrate the flow. Starting from the left, you can create estimates for customers. From there you can create invoices, record payments received, to create deposit receipts and record sales. If you keep track of inventory can create purchase orders (which transfer information from estimates), record of inventory received, and enter the bills for inventory received. There are other sections such as task management company (accounting, goods and services) and banking (checking, reconciliation of accounts, entering the credit card charges).
- Company Snapshot – Company Snapshot helps Save time and manage cash flow so you can make better business decisions. In a single screen that shows information such as revenue and expenditure trends customers owe you money, bills to be paid and selected account balances.
- Quickly find anything – with the client QuickBooks center collects any type of transaction (budgets, invoices, sales receipts, payments, etc) and displays them in a single area. You can use the search functionality to quickly find new bill that you did to "a customer in San Adolfo," and when paid.
- Sales Tax Made Easy – You do different types of configuration items in QuickBooks for services and products offered. Some services and products have different fiscal adjustment and QuickBooks has the ability to handle any combination of taxes for your product / service may have. QuickBooks will also help prepare statements for accuracy by calculating the tax as you work, and reports show that they resemble their tax return on sales – with every right to the amounts already filled in. New to 2010, you can click a single button and the tax return is sent to eFile!
- Currency Functionality – The Multi currency feature allows you to conduct transactions seamlessly into any number of currencies around the world – without worrying about looking up the exchange rates or get out your calculator to convert currencies.
- Compatibility with Windows 7 – Microsoft has been working hard on a Windows replacement Vista and Windows 7 will be pre-installed on all new equipment since late October. Earlier versions of QuickBooks are not compatible, and Intuit does not support Windows 7 with previous versions. QuickBooks 2010 support and after my installation I found that works pretty well.
