Credit cards for people with bad credit history: 5 Tips
Looking to get a new credit card, even if you have bad credit history? A way to get credit cards to people with bad credit history. To qualify, you must first become familiar with the options available to you. By arming yourself with the right knowledge, you will increase your chances of qualifying for a credit card – even if you have a bad score credit (or FICO score).
Here are 5 tips for getting a credit card, even if your credit is not stellar
1. Know your score Credit:
Knowledge is power, especially if you are trying to qualify for a new credit card. You have to start familiarizing ourselves with your current credit score not one but three major credit reporting agencies. There are several free online sites that allow you to access your account credit of at least one of the three major agencies. Because all the major reporting agencies use the same formula to calculate your credit score, three results should be similar. However, it is almost certain to vary somewhat from one agency to the next, and no way to know which agency company reports credit card apply to the review to verify your score. I recommend getting all three of their qualifications.
2. Determine if you have good credit, fair or poor:
In reviewing their accounts also provide additional information that tells you what your score. All scores credit fall in the range from poor to excellent. Remember, any credit card company that you can talk to be receiving your credit score one of any of the three major agencies. Therefore seek the prior approval of two or three credit card companies before settling on an offer.
5. Consider purchase of a short-term loan instead of requesting a credit card:
If for any reason you can not get a credit card at a pace that you like, consider applying for a short term loan in place. Remember, there is the high interest rates that are expensive, but is having to pay high interest rates over a long period of time begins to make sense. Credit card companies make their money when users run a great balance and then fail to pay up to several months – or more. When applying for a short-term loan to a reasonable interest rate and then pay on time, you can save thousands of dollars load compared with the same amount on a credit card and trying to pay that card face down over a long period of time.
If you have bad credit and are considering a credit card, do your homework. Know your credit score, understand what it means, and then the investigation of a large number offers before accepting one. And, remember to consider a short-term loan as an alternative to a new credit card. It could be a safer place (and cheaper) bet.
