Credit cards, love them or do, we can not do without them?
Let's face it, without credit, life would be unattainable. How many of us can afford to pay cash for a car, home, appliances, etc. Credit is a part import much of our culture. With good credit, companies are willing to lend money without charging interest because sometimes up to twelve months. Good credit is powerful. This opens opportunities for the majority of people who otherwise would not pay the necessary things in life.
The establishment of credit may be a challenge. Just be patient. There are companies out there that offer secured credit cards. This is when the customer deposits money into an account for which are issued a credit card. Then you can charge purchases on the credit card and make monthly payments. You have to be sure that the company providing the of credit reports from credit bureaus. Credit card bereaus are Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. After a year, some companies are willing to switch to a regular credit card.
Once credit has been established then you have to have good FICO score. FICO is a formula developed by Fair Isaac Corp., which was designed to measure the probability of a rebellious person. Factors included in the calculation of FICO scores
* The timely payment
* Amount of debt
* The length of credit history
* Types of credit
* Recent applications or inquiries to obtain new loans
FICO scores range between 300 and 850, the higher the better.
The world Credit has become more and more complicated as technology changes. You can do everything in their power to have a good credit history for someone just to steal your identity and your record is a big mess. Identity theft has become a huge monster and the Internet, information is at your fingertips almost anyone. There are companies out there that offer monitoring services for a fee. Monitor and send alerts each time there is a change or an investigation on the credit report. Some of these companies also offer insurance in case of any damage of identity theft. This in my opinion, is money well spent as I have personally heard people innocent have thousands of dollars from credit cards or open new accounts without your knowledge and left with the burden of proving that fact does not make these allegations.
Yes, credit is the way of life. Credit cards make life easier, do not have to carry large amounts cash and may have the money available in an emergency and some credit cards that you can win prizes as you spend. On the other hand, you have to be responsible, not spending, it is easy to load and carry, but when it comes to payment is a different story. The only way to see it come with credit cards responsibility. Over spending can lead to financial ruin because it means is spending the money before you even deserve it. Also according to the interest rate and fees on credit card, you end up paying more for the product you are paying cash.
